- simple installation of the rope behind the spur without the need to open the carabiner
- automatic TWIST LOCK safety lock, which cannot be unlocked by simple rotation
- the Keylock lock helps to prevent the carabiner from being caught while maneuvering
- used e.g. with self-locking abseiling brakes I'D and RIG
