From the arborist to the gardeners in the garden. Professionals and hobbyists around the world rely on Silky saws. For over 100 years in the heart of Japan's Ono region, the third generation of the Miyawaki family has been producing saws of unrivaled quality. The hammers have evolved into state-of-the-art, patented techniques – the passion and dedication remain.

Silky saw blades are made from authentic premium Japanese steel and laser cut. The saw blades are of unrivaled quality: they are very hard and durable, but at the same time remain flexible thanks to the soft metal core. In addition, several models, such as the Sugoi, Hayate and Tsurugi , are made of high-alloy steel, which makes the saw blade stronger, more resistant to corrosion and better equipped to withstand temperature changes. All saw blades are replaceable and the replacement itself is very simple.

    Differences in tooth fineness:
Coarse and extra coarse: 4 to 8 teeth per 30 mm:
Saws with coarse teeth cut faster and more aggressively. Coarse teeth are suitable for fast growing and fresh wood. The extra coarse teeth on the saw are especially ideal for more demanding jobs such as felling trees or cutting thick tree trunks. When cutting dry wood with coarse teeth, the teeth will have difficulty gripping the wood and will cause strong vibrations.

Medium: 10 teeth per 30 mm:
The configuration of the middle teeth is versatile. Cutting with a configuration of 10 teeth is suitable for both dry and fresh wood.

Fine and extra fine: 13 to 32 teeth per 30 mm:
Fine teeth are specially developed for dry wood or wood with less moisture, such as apple or oak. Extra fine teeth (26 or 32 by 30 mm) are specially designed for woodworking furniture makers or tool makers. When cutting with fine teeth in fresh, damp wood, the teeth fill up very quickly.

    Straight sheet or curved?
    - a straight blade provides a very clean saw cut with more precision than a curved blade. Straight blades are ideal for detailed pruning operations
    - a curved blade files faster and more aggressively than a straight blade. Working above shoulder height and below knee height, you can effortlessly cut at the top of the branch while your arm, wrist and hand remain in their natural position. In addition, you can easily feel when the end of the saw cut is reached - this makes work more efficient even in the most difficult conditions.
